"Social service is the action of serving others
through sacrifice and modesty"
KMLA wishes for students develop a balanced mind and attitude by contributing to volunteer organizations. To ensure this, numerous opportunities are provided to engage in service to others.
KMLA requires students to complete 80 hours of social service to graduate and records all activities in their school transcript. Service is also a core component of the 6 Minjok Virtues.
While volunteer work is designed to provide service to others, KMLA students also gain invaluable experiences. They ponder of the meaning of life while working for the less fortunate, and begin to think about the changes they will bring to society as future leaders.
